SAASST Showcases its Research Projects at the "13th Annual Scientific Research Forum"

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST) participated in the University of Sharjah's "13th Annual Scientific Research Forum" held in the Medical Campus of the University on April 29, 2019. To share scientific knowledge and showcase SAASST's various ongoing scientific research projects in the areas of astronomy and space sciences, the Research Assistants from the Sharjah Observatory, CubeSat Laboratory, Meteorite Center, Radio Astronomy Laboratory, and Space Weather and Ionosphere Laboratory participated in the Forum. They highlighted projects such as the UAEMMN, Meteorite Hunting using Deep Learning Algorithms, Building a Decametric Radio Telescope Array, and building a 3U CubeSat with an X-Ray Detector on Board. Through this participation, the Academy contributed with its scientific knowledge and accomplishments to the academic community – a vision His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah, set when establishing this Academy in 2015.
